Practical Nursing AM/PM
A trained practical nurse is a person prepared by an educational program to share in the care of the sick under the direction of a licensed physician and/or a registered nurse. Vocational practical nurse education helps the student acquire those attitudes, skills, knowledge, and appreciations essential to his/her role as well as a well-adjusted competent practical nurse in his/her community. Opportunities for employment are many, such as staff nursing in hospitals, private duty nursing, nursing in clinics, public health agencies, doctors' offices, nursing homes and home health. A placement coordinator and vocational counselor are available for assistance.
Practical Nursing is a one-year adult program for both men and women. It is a full-time training program meeting Monday through Thursday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m.& Students are selected by a committee after testing and personal interview.& All applicants must meet the following requirements:
